How to Use Everyday Items to Make a Spa Day at Home!

Hey y’all and welcome back! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here but I couldn’t stay away too long. I was just thinking to myself how badly I need to go to the spa just to unwind and relax. Of course that didn’t happen as planned so I find myself in my bathroom and was thinking about my next blog post and saw some coconut oil and thought “I got it!”

I know you’re thinking coconut oil? What could that possibly have to do with anything? Well coconut oil is very versatile. Not only is it a great alternative for cooking but it’s a great moisturizer for your skin. I use it every time I step out of the shower to give my skin a natural glow, I use it occasionally on my hair, and have even tried it a few times for oil pulling to get my teeth whiter naturally.

Now with this coconut oil you can make a really great face and body scrub. I’m sure most people have it in their home (if not you should really get some!). All you have to do is add some sugar whether it be white or brown sugar and add an essential oil of your choice and viola! You have made a scrub. It’s really simple.

If you’re a coffee lover save your coffee grounds and add that to a scrub. Coffee is great for getting rid of rough dead skin on your body and will make your skin silky smooth. If you’re using caffeinated coffee grounds, the caffeine may help reduce fluid buildup around the eyes by increasing blood circulation.

Most of the items you have in your house and even your kitchen can be used to create a spa day at home. Here’s a couple of recipes to get you started:

Lavender body and face scrub
-1/4 cup coconut oil
-3/4 cup of sugar
-5-7 drops of lavender essential oil
-small jar with lid

If the coconut oil is hard melt it so that it’s soft enough to blend (don’t melt the coconut oil all the way). Mix this with the 3/4 cup of sugar. Add the 5-7 drops of essential oil. Blend well.

Coffee body and face scrub
-1/2 cup coconut oil
-1/4 cup coffee grounds
-3/4 cup brown sugar
-5-7 drops essential oil of choice
-small jar with lid

If the coconut oil is hard melt it so that it’s soft enough to blend (don’t melt the coconut oil all the way). Mix with the coffee grounds and sugar. Add the 5-7 drops of essential oil. Blend well.

To use either scrub: apply a small amount to face or body and rub in a circular motion. Be gentle. Then rinse with water

I hope you find these recipes easy to make and take a day to relax and enjoy them! So scrub away my friends and take a sip of some wine for me!

Good day! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which
blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good
